Valley Oak Senior Housing

Situated just two blocks from the center of the City of Turlock, Alta Oak CCRC will provide an ideal urban location for its residents, close to numerous restaurants and stores and just one block from the central fire station. The building will provide a home for a senior community comprising 46 Memory Care, 60 Assisted Living, and 129 Independent Living units for an overall resident population that could be well in excess of 300 residents.  The program also includes recreational and entertainment facilities and a private dining room.  Exercise facilities include a swimming pool and spa, and exercise equipment room. 

Designed in a contemporary adaptation of the Craftsman style, the 3 and 4-story complex fits quietly into the existing residential context of one and two-story single family homes.  Exterior materials, siding, stucco, and stone have been selected for their scale and textural qualities and their compatibility with the context.  The sites grand Valley Oak tree, a community emblem, has been integrated into the architectural planning and massing, becoming an identifier for the project.
